Special guest Zach Schaeffer joined us 9/13/24 for Friday devotions. Zach started off by encouraging the kids to GET INTO THE WORD every day. I know personally as I am sure you the reader have found out, that when we equip ourselves with the WORDS that are in the BIBLE, then we are better prepared to face the day! Not to say that it will be easy, but with God's strength we can do all things. Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Zach focused todays lesson on Matthew 22:36-40. Jesus talks about the GREATEST COMMANDMENT!
In Matthew 22:36-40 it says.....
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Zach and the children at VCA broke down each sentence to help them better understand what it all means. At the end of devotions the children could better understand what Jesus was talking about. Zach ended devotions with prayer over the children.
